Patrons visiting the new Amway Center have a new, unique dining option before and after they head to concerts and games. Mojo Bar & Grill, a dining and entertainment venue, anchors the Church Street entertainment district with a rustic New Orleans theme, casual atmosphere, live entertainment, open-air sidewalk seating, live music and comedy acts.
Mojo Bar & Grill is just one of 15 retail establishments expected to open before the end of the year according to the Downtown Development Board. Mojo Bar & Grill owners, John SanFelippo and George Maltezos, said the new Mojo Bar & Grill will help reignite the Church Street entertainment district and help return it to its former glory days as downtown Orlando’s most popular night-time entertainment destination.
“The opening of Amway Center is going to play a key role in the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Orlando and the opening of Mojo is just the beginning,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.
Mojo Bar & Grill projects it will create more than 70 new jobs in the downtown area with an annual payroll estimated at more than $750,000 and annual sales in excess of $3.5 million.
Mojo Cajun Bar and Grill is in a building at the corner of Church and Garland streets built in the 1920s as a hotel.
