Clinton’s campaign for Democrats ends with a rally at Lake Eola ParkNovember 2, 2010 16 Comments
Former President Bill Clinton joined Democrat candidates Alex Sink, Kendrick Meek, Alan Grayson, Dan Gelber, Loranne Ausley and Scott Maddox for a rally in Downtown Orlando late Monday evening. About 500 supporters gathered alongside Lake Eola Park for the late-night rally.
After hearing from each of the candidates, Sen. Bill Nelson introduced Former President Bill Clinton. "This was a love-fest," Nelson said. "He's campaigned for Kendrick 14 times. What other candidate could say that?"
Mr. Clinton stepped onto the stage stopping to shake hands with each of them. He gave a big hug to Alex Sink at the head of the line and a strong combination hug, handshake followed by “thumbs up” to Kendrick Meek. "I keep looking for this enthusiasm gap the Republicans say exist and I can't find it to save my life," Clinton said to wild applause.
A video clip of the Rally will be posted later today.
